Plans have been submitted for a new Marks & Spencer Foodhall.

M&S hoping to open a supermarket at the Friern Bridge Retail Park on Pegasus Way, a short drive from Muswell Hill Playing Fields and Muswell Hill Golf Club.

It has submitted plans to Barnet Council for three signs and trolley bay signage for the supermarket with its branding.

The firm has also made a licensing application has also been made to sell or supply alcohol off the premises between 6am and midnight from Mondays to Sundays.

M&S is set to take over the 25,019sq ft space at Unit 6 of the retail park – replacing the former Furniture Village, which moved to Staples Corner on December 26 last year.

There is also a smaller M&S Simply Food store a short distance away by the BP Petrol station on the North Circular Road.

M&S has been approached for comment.
