Police are appealing for help in finding a suspect after a man was left in a critical condition after being assaulted outside Woolwich Library.
Officers were called at 3.25am on Sunday, March 17 to reports of a 35-year-old man assaulted close to the bus stop outside Woolwich Library in Wellington Street.
London Ambulance Service attended, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment – he remains there in a critical condition receiving treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the assault.
The suspect is described as a black man, 5ft 10” tall and was wearing dark clothing.
Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to call Serious and Complex Crime team based at Lewisham via 101, quoting the reference 01/99520/24.
