Pictures from scene of a police cordon near Bexley High Street showed blood smeared along cars.

Officers have said that they believe that the blood was due to a person's medical episode in a car park.

No victim of crime has been identified and no arrests have been made.

Forensics were seen at the scene today along with police.

The cordon was located in a car park behind The George pub on the High Street, but has since been removed.This Is Local London:

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 6:13am today (Sunday 14 April) to reports of an incident at Bexley High Street, Bexley.

"We sent an ambulance crew. We assisted a person at the scene, who was later discharged."

A statement from Metropolitan Police reads: “Police cordons were in place in Bexley High Street this morning as police investigated blood found at the location.

“A person has been spoken to. It is believed that the blood was the result of this person experiencing a medical episode.

“No victim of crime has been identified and there has been no arrest.”
