Sunny weather can bring out the desire to be near water and one of the UK's top destinations is right here in north London.

Camden Locks is the fourth most popular waterside destination, averaging 7,425 monthly searches on social media, according to data by boat insurance experts at InsureMy.

The insurance company sourced all 128 waterside destination locations in the UK from Canal & River Trust official website to come up with the top 10 most popular.

Top destination is Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire which averages 17,508 monthly searches.

Camden is the only London waterway that makes the list.

It is situated north of the Hampstead Road Lock of the Regent's Canal which was formerly a wharf with stables.

The Lock is a vibrant area and ranks as one of the liveliest atmospheres in the top 10, ideal for indulging in people-watching, spotting boats, and enjoying multiple dining options in Camden Lock Market.

The hashtags #camdenlock and #camdenlocks have garnered over 180,000 posts on Instagram, showcasing the location's bustling atmosphere and popular attractions.
