Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene of a crash on a busy road in Lewisham today.

The crash between two cars happened in Ladywell Road this morning.

The scene was attended by London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.

Paramedics treated people at the scene, however Metropolitan Police has confirmed that there were no major injuries.

The road was closed whilst a clean-up operation was underway by fire crews.

The road has since reopened with traffic returning to normal.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Thursday, 11 April officers were called to Ladywell Road, Lewisham, to reports of a road traffic collision between two cars.

“London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the scene to assist.

“London ambulance tended to the injured but found there were no major injuries.

“London Fire Brigade assisted in the safe removal and clean-up of the scene.

“The road has been cleared and traffic can return to normal.

“There have been no arrests.”
