Beam Park Medical Practice, Rainham opens in 12-storey block

The Beam Park Medical Practice in Halewood Way launched on April 2 and forms part of the Beam Park Health Centre, that is being built over two floors of a 12-storey building.

A spokesperson for NHS North East London, that is leading the development of the health centre, said the practice is already registering patients and consultations are available on request.

Plans for the health centre were made in conjunction with the planning approval granted to developers Countryside Partnerships and L&Q for regeneration of the former Ford factory site.

The Beam Park housing development is expected to have almost 4,000 homes.

NHS North East London, the spokesperson added, has been working closely with Barking and Dagenham Council, Havering Council, Countryside Partnerships and L&Q to build the centre that will span a 1,500 square metre space.

The centre is expected to fully open this year, and the spokesperson said details of when other healthcare services will be available on site will be confirmed in coming months.
