Police are yet to make an arrest following a shooting in Chigwell last week. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called with reports of a shooting along New North Road at 9.46pm on April 3. 

Armed officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were also dispatched to the scene of the crime.

A 19-year-old man was found on the road suffering from a gunshot wound. 

He remains in hospital recovering.

Almost a week on from the shooting, the Met have confirmed they have made no arrests in connection with the crime. 

An investigation by the Met's specialist crime command is ongoing. 

Witnesses and those with footage are asked to contact police on 101, or post on X @MetCC, quoting reference 7652/3APR.
