A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was found on fire in a park.

Emergency services were called to Queensbury Park, in Kenton, Harrow, shortly after 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (April 8) to reports of a person on fire.

A 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Police say the man is still in hospital and describe his condition as “life-threatening”.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson added that officers are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Paramedics arrived in the park within six minutes, and treated the patient at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.

LAS has confirmed that it sent ambulance crews, paramedics in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and members of its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to the park.

London's Air Ambulance also went to the scene by car, alongside firefighters from Hendon and Stanmore stations.
