A teenager has appeared in court accused of attempting to murder a man by stabbing him on a train between Beckenham Junction and Shortlands railway stations.
On Wednesday (March 27) at around 4pm British Transport Police received reports of two men fighting on a train.
One man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital and police said on Thursday (March 28) that he is in a "critical but stable condition".
Rakeem Thomas, 19, from Beckenham, is charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (March 30) wearing a grey jumper and spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
The case was sent to the Old Bailey where Thomas will appear for a hearing on April 26.
