A residential road in Catford has been closed off by police due to welfare concerns for a man, with cordons in place.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of Daneby Road in Catford following concerns raised for the welfare of a man inside a property.

Police have confirmed that no one else is believed to be inside the property.

Officers at the scene are attempting to engage with the man to ensure his safety.

Cordons and road closures currently remain in place while emergency services are at the scene.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Officers and emergency services are on scene at Daneby Road, SE6 after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man inside a property at the location.

“No one else is believed to be inside.

Officers are attempting to engage with the man and bring the matter to a safe conclusion.

“Cordons and road closures remain in place while the situation is ongoing.

“We thank local residents for their patience and advise people to avoid the area.”
