A vehicle has smashed into the shutters of a pawn shop during a burglary in Bexleyheath.

Officers were called to reports of a commercial burglary at H&T Pawnbrokers in Broadway just after 3am today (March 21).

It was found a vehicle had driven through the shutters and items were reportedly stolen from inside.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives in Bexley are investigating a ram-raid burglary at a shop on Bexleyheath Broadway.

“Police were called at 03:08hrs on Thursday, 21 March to reports of a commercial burglary at Bexleyheath Broadway.

“Officers attended. At the scene a vehicle had been driven at the security shutters and items had been stolen from inside the venue.

“At this early stage there have been no arrests.

“A crime scene was established and has since been closed.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 668/21MAR.
