A 140-year-old house could be part demolished to make way for four new homes - with a six-storey block of flats nearby.

The application is among those submitted to Camden Council between March 11 and March 17 in the Ham & High readership area.

The council is currently reviewing each application and has yet to make a decision on any of them.

The 140-year-old house at 39a Fitzjohn’s Avenue in Belsize Park could be part-demolished and four homes built inside its existing structure under new plans (2024/0728/P).

The same planning application seeks permission for a six-storey block of 29 flats on nearby land next to 46 Maresfield Gardens.

The plans have been put forward by the same developer that has received approval to turn 39 Fitzjohn’s Avenue into 35 flats.

In Cricklewood, there are plans to build a single-storey rear extension to the first-floor of a flat in Aldred Road (2024/0740/P).

Over in Briardale Gardens, there are plans to add an extra storey to a property (2023/5374/P).

In Lamble Street, Gospel Oak, an additional floor will also be added at the second floor level of a two-storey house (2024/0302/P).

A flat in Dartmouth Park Hill, Highgate, has asked to build a single-storey ground floor rear extension, as well as a garden room (2024/0369/P).

A seventh floor could be built to a block of student flats in Holmes Road to create 11 more rooms (2023/5391/P).

Improvement plans to Swiss Cottage Open Space, between Avenue Road and Winchester Road, have been submitted (2024/0544/P).

The changes include new seating, landscaping and play area upgrades.

In Camden Town, there are plans to build a part one-storey, part two-storey side and rear extension in Lyme Street (2024/0048/P).

A single storey garden house could also be built to the rear of a property in Lymington Road, West Hampstead.
