Two men from Goodmayes who formed part of a longstanding drugs line have been jailed after being discovered by police.

Gagandeep Sehmi, 23, of Aberdour Road and Abdullah Kahn, 22, of Kilmartin Road were linked to the 'Drops' line, a group that ran Class A drugs from London to south Essex.

They are two of five people to have been sentenced after police traced messages, CCTV and carried out warrants.

Police identified Sehmi as being responsible for directing the drug runners and sending out mass messages to users in Southend from pre-paid burner phones.

When officers executed warrants at addresses across London and Southend in April 2023, the 23-year-old was arrested after being found with crack cocaine and heroin in around 600 wraps.

The drugs were estimated to have a street value of £6,000 and were seized with more than £3,500 in cash.

Sehmi received a six-year prison sentence on March 8 at Basildon Crown Court.

Kahn received an 18-month sentence after he was arrested at an address with £590 in cash.

Three others from Southend were also sentenced after all five admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
