The suspect behind a stabbing in Thamesmead is still on the loose after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed.

The incident happened in Southmere Drive at around 12.35pm on March 13.

Officers, London Ambulance Service, and an air ambulance attended and found a boy injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (March 15) that no arrests have been made.

Five minutes before the stabbing at 12.30pm, a man was found uninjured after being attacked by a group of men with baseball bats in Seacourt Road.

A section 60 order was put into place in certain areas of Thamesmead, Erith, and Abbey Wood.

This means police can stop and search anyone within the area without needing to have reasonable grounds.

It was in place from 1.30pm on March 13 and until 12pm on March 14.
