A person has been taken to hospital after an incident in Abbey Wood.

The incident happened in Finchale Road at 11.40am yesterday (March 13).

London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.

An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and two fire engines also attended.

The person was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The nature of the incident and the condition of the person is unknown.

We asked Metropolitan Police for further information but it confirmed officers were not called to the incident.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11:40am yesterday (March 13) to reports of an incident at Finchale Road, SE2.

“We dispatched resources including an ambulance crew and paramedic in a fast response cars.

“We also requested the assistance of our colleagues from the London Fire Brigade to facilitate the safe exit of the patient at the scene.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to hospital.”

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters were called to assist London Ambulance Service colleagues at an incident on Finchale Road in Abbey Wood.

“The Brigade was called at 1416 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1459.

“Two fire engines from Plumstead Fire Station and a fire rescue unit from East Ham Fire Station attended the scene.”
