A person has died after a medical incident at a train station in Norwood.
The incident happened at Norwood Junction station at around 7.30am today (March 13).
National Rail announced on X (formally known as Twitter) that the station was closed after a passenger was taken ill.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
All services at the station were disrupted until 10.30am but it has since returned to normal.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Norwood Junction station at around 7.30am this morning (Wednesday) 13 March following reports of a person suffering a medical emergency.
“Paramedics also attended but despite their best efforts the person sadly died.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
