A thug has been jailed after he smashed a glass into a man’s face and threw chairs at him in a Central London restaurant.

The victim was on his way to the cloakroom at a restaurant on New Change Passage, near St Paul’s Cathedral, when Tauream Smith-Sharp attacked him.

The glass wounded the victim’s right eye, leaving him permanently blind in that eye.

Smith-Sharp, 28, of Muirfield Road in Watford, was arrested after the incident – which took place at around 11.40pm on October 14, 2021.

He was found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent and affray at Inner London Crown Court.
