A mum and son from Bexleyheath got the chance to perform alongside Pixie Lott after the British star surprised families with a secret performance on Mother's Day.

The pop-up event took place at PizzaExpress Live in London where Pixie Lott was celebrating her first Mother's Day as a new mum.

The Mama Do singer, who was born and raised in south east London herself, treated guests to an intimate, showstopping performance, throwing back to her first show at the venue in 2015.

An unsuspecting mum and son duo from Bexleyheath was offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share the stage with Pixie Lott.

The popstar was born in Bromley and grew up in Petts Wood and Bickley.

She recently became a mum herself, welcoming baby Albert to the world last October.

The audience at PizzaExpress’ ‘The Pheasantry’ in Chelsea enjoyed a special edition Mother's Day set menu, featuring Pixie's favourite dish - Padana with extra jalapeños.

Paula MacKenzie, CEO at PizzaExpress, said: "As the home of family get togethers, we wanted to really celebrate mums this Mother’s Day.

"Live music has always been an important part of PizzaExpress, so we were excited to have fellow mum and British icon, Pixie Lott, back to the PizzaExpress Live stage for a special surprise show."
