Here’s a first look at the new neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant that has officially opened its doors in Ladywell.
Wilson’s opened its doors yesterday (March 7), and is run by Chef Henry Freestone and Alina and Joel Falconer, founders of the popular Oscar’s café in Ladywell.
In an Instagram post announcing the news of the new venture, the founders said: “We all live locally and are excited to create the kind of place we enjoy spending time” adding that the business will focus on “great wines, simple food and proper hospitality.”
The new bar, open from Thursday to Saturday evenings, will offer a simple food menu featuring small plates like olives and a Charcuterie board, as well as cooked dishes like Beef shin croquettes and Goats cheese and beetroot profiterole.
Food prices will range from £4 up to £16 and will be accompanied with a range of white and red wines, as well as rosé and sparkling wines and champagnes and soft drinks.
The new venue features a sophisticated and elegant décor with plants and prints on the walls, and a mix of table and bar seating available for visitors.
Bookings online can be made for parties of up to six people from Thursdays to Saturdays between 5pm and 10pm.
