Firefighters have cut the roof of a vehicle to remove a person after a crash on the A20 this evening.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to a crash involving two vehicles on the A20 coastbound, near to the Swanley Interchange and M25 junction.

The incident happened just before 4.30pm today (Wednesday).

Three fire engines attended, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of a vehicle and release one person.

This person was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.

The A20 eastbound has now reopened.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a crash involving two vehicles on the A20 coastbound, near to the Swanley Interchange and M25 junction.

“Three fire engines attended, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of a vehicle and release one person who was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
