All traffic has been stopped on the A20 near Bromley due to a three-vehicle crash.

The incident happened on the A20 east between Chislehurst and Bromley at around 5pm today (March 6).

There are currently 20 minutes of delays and two miles of congestion on approach, according to AA.

It is unknown when all traffic restrictions will be lifted.

We have contacted Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue, and South East Coast for further information.

National Highways (@HighwaysSEAST) tweeted: “Traffic has been held on the #A20 east between #A223 (#Chislehurst  #Bromley) and #M25/#M20 (#Swanley) due to a 3 vehicle collision.

“@kent_police @kentfirerescue @SECAmbulance are at scene. Delays of 20 minutes and approx. 2 miles congestion on approach.

"To allow the emergency services to work at the scene of a serious collision is now closed. Traffic is being diverted via local routes."

Full AA maps statement says: “Road blocked and long delays due to crash on A20 coastbound from The Petrol Station to M20 J1 (Swanley Interchange).”
