Seoul is a dream holiday location of many, especially those interested in the culture and popular entertainment overseas, such as Kpop and K-dramas. Bustling with character and teeming with traditional, Korean-centric cultural origins, my trip was once-in-a-lifetime- I’ll never experience being in Seoul for the first time again!

My trip to Seoul was arranged by a company named Allwe.k that specializes in Kpop camps and trips, and people from all over the world attended, mainly Europe and North America. There were 8 of us participants in total, making it a very small and cozy group for such a grandiose trip. Allwe.k (found at Allwek.com) has previously hosted this once before, and is planning to host two more this summertime, one being the standard trip and the other being a ‘friend tour’, extending the trip to Korea and involving more touring aspects to the trip. You can find these on their website mentioned above.

My favourite day was when we wore Hanboks and toured Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace, built during the Joseon dynasty in 1395. They were very beautiful, however it was extremely cold that day as it had snowed, and we also were wearing very thin layers. We still managed to take beautiful pictures nonetheless.

Every day was very memorable, and photo opportunities were everywhere. It’s quite bittersweet to look back as I long to be back in Korea, away from my responsibilities!

Not only were the instagrammable moments worthy to remember, but also the casual, off-schedule times where we would all just hang out together.

This summer, I may go again- I really miss it! Plus, I can experience a different side of Korea- instead of the pretty white christmas, I can experience the blazing summer sun. I would love to make more memories, record them as photos!
