A popular Wetherspoons in Bexleyheath is still up for sale after being put on the market more than a year ago.

The Wrong Un in Bexleyheath Broadway was among five other Wetherspoons that were put up for sale in September 2022.

These were the Bankers Draft in Eltham, the Asparagus in Battersea, the Capitol in Forest Hill and the Foxley Hatch in Purley.

A commercial decision was made by the chain to sell the pubs which will continue to operate as Wetherspoons outlets until they are sold.

The Bexleyheath pub has been under offer since June and will permanently close once a deal goes through.

Despite the offer being made, other proposals are still welcome, according to the JW Disposals website.

The Asparagus in Battersea has also found a buyer but a closing date is still yet to be confirmed.

The Bankers Draft, in Eltham High Street, closed its doors on August 20, almost a year after it was put up for sale.

The Capitol shut its doors for good on October 15 followed by the Foxley Hatch on December 3.

Senior director at CBRE, Toby Hall, said the pubs represent an "excellent" opportunity for existing pub operators.

He adds that there are a mix of locations in the portfolio which is rarely seen in the market.

The chain, founded by businessman Tim Martin, operates around 800 pubs around the UK and Ireland.
