A BMW driver who hit a cyclist after running a red light has appeared in court.
Mohammed Ahmed Abdallah, 60, of Queens Road in Lewisham, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention as well as failing to stop to give his name and address.
A court heard that on November 22 last year Abdallah was driving a BMW 5 Series in Camberwell when he was involved in a collision.
At the junction of Camberwell Road and Medlar Street he drove through a red light and collided with a cyclist, the court was told.
Abdallah pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.
He pleaded not guilty to failing to stop but was found guilty.
At Bromley Magistrates on December 5 was fined £180, told to pay £300 in compensation and £100 in costs.
He was also given eight points on his licence.
