As the season nears winter and the layers of coats, scarves, hats come out, the remedy to a cold afternoon is some hearty and delicious food and drink, and ‘Spilt Milk’ located on Carshalton High Street is the perfect place to go.
Opening in August 2019, ‘Spilt Milk’ is an independent brunch and lunch food place which has been a favourite for locals and a staple amongst the highstreet. The menu varies from milkshakes, coffees, teas, and more to the Breakfast food served from 9am to 12pm and the Brunch food from 12pm to 4pm. For something sweet, there are a range of crepes and waffles which are served all day.
The motif of the spot are waffles, the Brunch menu mainly revolving around delicious foods like crispy chicken and bacon, fried eggs, smoked salmon and so on all served on a fluffy waffle.
Barzan, the son of ‘Spilt Milk’ ‘s owner, recommends the famous ‘Wurger’; crispy chicken breast, gherkins, tomatoes, red cabbage, coleslaw, and sauce sandwiched between two waffles with a side of fries, which has been on the menu since ‘Spilt Milk’ opened and is the most sold dish. From the Breakfast menu, try the traditional English for poached, scrambled, or fried eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, hashbrowns and more which customers love. The egg and bacon waffle is also a favourite.
‘Spilt Milk’ has a comfortable and friendly atmosphere with great food and drink too. From waffles and crepes to salads and fry-ups, it is the spot to be in Carshalton this winter.
