It's coming on Christmas and they're cutting down trees, which means it's time to seek out a festive fir to decorate your home.

Like other tree sellers, Pines and Needles has already opened its 30 outdoor cabins across London where its kilt-wearing sales team are offering greenery, wreaths, decorations and their top selling British grown Nordmann Fir.

Suppliers to The Royal Albert Hall, Imperial War Museum and music royalty, they have hidden a golden bauble in some of their firs, and if you spot one, you get your tree for free.

Director Veronika Kusak believes despite ongoing cost of living worries, householders are still willing to spend money on making sure "Christmas is a great one".

"That’s a trend we’re expecting to see across our stores. The biggest thing we’ve noticed is that people seem to be planning for Christmas earlier than ever. This year we saw a massive spike in pre-orders for real Christmas trees in July and August which is earlier than we’ve seen in previous years. It seems that the cost of living crisis coupled with a washout summer in the UK means that people are on a mission to make this Christmas one to remember."

Pines and Needles offer a delivery service and post-Christmas recycling service to collect and chip the tree for animal bedding or biofuel.

There are cabins in Clissold Park, IKEA Wembley, Kenwood House, Highbury, Maida Vale St Marks, Regent's Park, Shoreditch St Leonards, Stoke Newington Upper Holloway, and Victoria Park.
