Based in Hampton, Thames Turbo Triathlon Club is an inclusive and dynamic triathlon club providing swimming, cycling and running coaching to all members in unique training facilities. The club offers training all year round, with opportunities to race different types of races in the triathlon season.
The club has senior and junior club members and is able to offer membership very cheaply making it accessible to everyone in the community. This is because they put on various fundraising events including the famous Thames Turbo Triathlon at Hampton Open Air Pool and the Aquathlon which takes place at Lady Eleanor Holles along with various BBQs and races.
If you are new or an experienced triathlete, you will be welcomed at the club. They are well known for being friendly and genuinely enjoying getting to know other members. If you would like to try before you buy - they offer a two week free trial.
Ralph Hydes is the Head Coach. He is really experienced and has done many extraordinary things of his own including Iron Man, marathons and long bike rides.
Training sessions include swimming at Hampton Open Air Pool, running at the Mo Farah race track based in St Mary's University, and cycling around Richmond Park and Claremont School.
