A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into several vehicles in Chislehurst.

The incident happened in Centre Common Road at around 1.50pm today (August 2).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found the driver of a car injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

It is believed by police that he may have been unwell while driving.

Road closures are currently in place.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at about 1.50pm on Wednesday, 2 August to reports of a car in collision with several vehicles on Centre Common Road in Chislehurst.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The driver has been taken to hospital; his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

“At this early stage, it is believed that he may have been taken unwell whilst driving.

“Road closures are in place.”
