Bath has a history unlike any other and is best known for being created as a well-being spot since the ancient Romans built the Roman Baths.

A big draw for many, the spas and Roman baths across the city let you bathe in natural hot springs whilst learning about the rich history.

Along with enjoying a dip in the baths, you can also explore and learn about the Roman life that took over the city.

The Roman Baths let you learn about 2,000 years of history with guided tours, artefact collections and expeditions.

Of course, no getaway would be complete without some food and Bath has plenty of fantastic restaurants, pubs and cafes to try out.

With options for everyone, you can try some vegan meals at The Coconut Tree or enjoy a Sunday roast at local restaurant Green Park Brasserie.

You can even try some afternoon tea experiences in Bath, with many hotels hosting traditional teas including The Bath Bun Tea Shoppe and Robun.

Bath is also the perfect spot for fans of historical dramas, with the region being host to many filming locations.

Including Netflix's Bridgeton which takes advantage of Bath's Georgian architecture as well as the historic drama The Duchess which stars Benedict Cumberbatch.
