Police are asking anyone who sees a man missing from a Dartford hospital to call 999 as they urgently search for him.

Joseph Bruno, 48, is reported to have left Darent Valley Hospital at 9.30am on Saturday, July 8.

There are medical concerns related to Joseph – he usually wears a protective hat on his head and may sometimes have difficulty engaging with people.

Police believe that he initially travelled to Bluewater and from there used the bus network.

It is then believed that he headed towards the Bexleyheath and Woolwich areas of London.

He is described by police as a black man of stocky build and around 5 ft 8 ins in height and bald.

Joseph was last seen wearing green hospital pyjamas and a blue zip jacket.

Anyone with information on Joseph’s whereabouts should call 999, quoting reference 08-0463.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Officers are seeking help to locate a man reported missing from Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.

“Joseph Bruno is 48 years old and is said to have left the hospital at around 9.30am on Saturday 8 July.

"There are medical concerns related to Joseph, who usually wears a protective hat on his head and who may sometimes have difficulty engaging with people.

“It is believed that he initially travelled to Bluewater and from there used the bus network.

“Joseph is thought to have then headed towards the Bexleyheath and Woolwich areas of London.

“He is black, of stocky build, around 5ft 8 ins tall and bald.

“He was last seen wearing green hospital pyjamas and a blue zip jacket.

“Anyone with information on Joseph’s whereabouts should call 999, quoting reference 08-0463.”
