EXAM SEASON IS ENTERING

As many students across the Uk are aware, the Gcses and A-level exams are rapidly approaching, causing many students to Panic and stress especially as their insecurities rise.

It is clear that all students across the United Kingdom were affected greatly due to the corona virus global pandemic, especially regarding their education. While the school systems and boards across the country are trying to combat the staggering number anxiety rising in students, it is clear that it is not fully working. Here we will be sharing tips on how students could help prepare themselves for the upcoming exams outside of revision time.

Exercise

One of the best forms of stress relief can often be through exercise. Yes, it is quite the typical answer, but that is because most researchers have found that being active and moving your body is a great method for releasing serotonin, which is a hormone often associated with happiness. It also boosts a person's Feel-Good endorphins, significantly reducing stress. So, adding even just 30 minutes before each revision session, or after, can cause a dramatic change to your emotions in a positive way.

Hobbies

Another way to help students relax pre-exam season, could be to do some hobbies before or after each study sessions. This can help pupils relax as well as motivate them to try their harder for each session. Students should not have to sacrifice their hobbies and things they enjoy for an exam, instead they should learn to manage their time efficiently so they do not learn to resent revision.

Sleep

The most important one of all: Sleep. Young adults aged 14-18 all require a minimum of 7-9hours of sleep. Without the proper rest, one's body cannot recuperate efficiently which could lead to increased heart rate and blood pressure, reducing concentration and brain activity. This is extremely unhelpful for students especially during exam season as it can reduce how well they can do in exams.

Most importantly, to all the students, grades are important however the health of pupils are more important, and grades do not determine your futures. Good luck on exams!
