You're probably not interested in another article telling you how you can make yourself better in your day to day life.

No one wants to scroll down endless pages to be told things in countless different ways; and yet after a long day at work/school you find yourself sitting on your bed searching up another article in hopes of being able to do something as simple as saying "no". Now i'm not saying that it's easy, its not. We all know the struggle of trying to help a friend who's completely behind on their schedule/work.

Sometimes even after convincing ourselves to say no, we will still find ourselves in multiple situations where saying yes seems like the 'better option'. one of the reasons we find it so hard to say no is because we feel guilty, however its really important to understand the fact that its completely okay to say 'no'. In fact being able to say no can allow you to set your boundaries and maintain healthy relationships with your colleagues/classmates.

When you're faced with a request that you know you won't be able to complete, its important to say 'no' and understand that you shouldn't beat around the bush and make excuses in these situations. Instead, be honest with the reason you have for saying no. For example, you could say "i'm sorry, i cant do that right now, i am completely overloaded with my projects". This can help the other person see that you're being honest and respectful of your own needs. Learning to say no can be difficult of course, but with a little bit of practice it can become a helpful tool in your personal and professional life. Remember, saying 'no' does not make you a bad person, in fact it simply helps you take control of your life
