London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a crash in Bexleyheath.

The incident between a pedestrian and a bus happened in Erith Road at 8am yesterday (March 28).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and found a teenage boy injured.

An ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer also attended.

The teen was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

His condition was assessed as not life threatening.

No arrests were made following the incident.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 7.56am today (28 March) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus and a pedestrian at the junction between Erith Road and Mayplace Road East, Bexleyheath.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.

“Our first medic arrived in less than three minutes.

“We treated a person at the scene before taking them to hospital.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Called to a collision in Erith Road around 8am involving a bus and pedestrian aged in his teens.

“Condition not life-threatening, no arrests.”
