The rifle range at Epsom College was reportedly cordoned off after Emma Pattison, headteacher at the school, was found dead alongside her husband daughter, 7.

Emma and her husband George, 39, were found with her daughter Lettie after police were called to the scene yesterday (February 5) just after 1am.  

The Daily Telegraph has reported that a man who was sending portable toilets to police at the scene saw the rifle range had been cordoned off earlier today (February 6).

Police have confirmed that it was an isolated incident and there was no third-party involvement in their deaths.

Police said the family’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

An investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances of their deaths and the three deaths have been reported to the coroner.

Councillor Hannah Dalton, chairwoman of the Residents’ Association Group on Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic events that took place at Epsom College over the weekend, involving the headteacher Emma Pattison and her family.

“Our thoughts are with their loved ones, Epsom College staff and pupils, and the wider community as they come to terms with this devastating loss.”
