A lamppost was destroyed after a car flipped over during a police chase.
Punters at The Bull and Last pub on Highgate Road had their night interrupted after the car turned to its side in a crash with another vehicle.
Police say the cars crashed in Woodsome Road, just next to the pub, on Tuesday at just after 4.45pm.
The occupants fled the scene and enquiries to trace them are ongoing, the force has said.
A spokesperson said: “Police had been in pursuit of the vehicle prior the collision.
“There were no reported injuries to members of the public or officers.”
Pictures show that a lamppost outside the pub was knocked over and has caused the structure to lean.
The crash, on the 20mph road, has prompted calls for tougher speeding restrictions in place amid claims of the cars rat running.

One person, who wished to be referred to as their Twitter handle @ChetwyndRoad, said: “This is the second car in 18 months to flip over on Woodsome Road.
“It presents a clear illustration of how drivers are using Dartmouth Park as a rat run. After decades of inaction, Camden Council must act immediately to create a safe and healthy neighbourhood for residents.”
Another crash is known to have happened on Woodsome Road on August 2021.
The Extinction Rebellion group for Camden tweeted about the crash, calling for a low-traffic neighbourhood (LTN) in the area.
Wondered what the police helicopter was doing hovering around Highgate Rd area this pm…
