Young eco warriors scooped up awards at an annual ceremony in Camden.
The Camden Eco Champion Awards, organised by Camden Clean Air (CCA) took place at the Roundhouse, in Chalk Farm, on Saturday (December 3) to highlight those committed to creating positive change.
Three winners were announced, including seven-year-old Naomi Rajwan for the Mini Warriors, who promoted solar panels at her school, Sarum Hall in Belsize Park.
Sixth former Anna Meade, who leads the UCS Green Impact Society at her school, scooped the Junior Heroes prize.
Alex Wriggleworth, a sustainability organiser at South Hampstead School and run sessions with an academy in Rwanda, was crowned Local Leader.
Among the prizes were six tickets to the Tottenham v West Ham match on February 18, nine tickets for any Jazz Café show and three Airbubbl Air Purifiers, gifted by Rensair.
Jeffrey Young, founder and CCA chief, said: "Through our work we come across extraordinary people of all ages every day.
"The Camden Eco Champion Awards is an opportunity for us to shine light on these incredible members of our community.
"We hope that through recognition and celebration of the finalists’ achievements, we will inspire more people to become eco champions. Congratulations to all the winners."
Guest of honour Cllr Nasim Ali OBE, mayor of Camden, said the awards are an opportunity to celebrate and thank all individuals who are working to make the borough a cleaner and greener place to live.
"It is vital, now more than ever, that we work together, as neighbours, classmates, colleagues, friends and families, to tackle the climate crisis and create positive change in our community," he said
"Thank you to The Camden Clean Air Initiative for organising these Awards, and we hope that the achievements of the finalists inspire those around them to act in an eco-conscious way."
Cllr Adam Harrison, Camden's cabinet member for a sustainable Camden thanked the clean air initiative for organising the awards.
“It’s incredible to see how passionate people across Camden are about protecting the environment and the amount of work taking place across the borough.
"There’s lots more to be done to grow resilient to climate change, and the winners and nominees of today's event play key roles in contributing to combatting this challenge."
