A teenager is in a critical condition after a stabbing in Ilford.

Police were called at around 2am on Sunday (December 4) to reports of a fight in Ilford Lane, near the junctions with St Luke's Avenue and Wingate Road.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with stab injuries, a Met Police spokesperson said. He remains there in a critical but stable condition.

A probe is underway and the force said forensic examination is continuing at the scene.

There have been no arrests and police are asking any witnesses to call 101, quoting reference 702/04dec.
