The Christmas light trail opened at Kenwood House on Friday (December 2) with families enjoying a magical walk through an illuminated wonderland.
Snowflakes were projected onto the facade of the English Heritage mansion, and trees were lit with thousands of LEDs, while stalls sold mulled wine and bratwurst in the courtyard near the Brew House Cafe.
It's the second year running that the trail has lit up the grounds of Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. An atmospheric soundscape sets the scene as rainbow coloured leaves swirl on paths, and woodland animals glow in the undergrowth, including an owl on an overhead branch.
Elsewhere, dry ice and glitter balls create a colourful effect, a forest of lasers shine through foliage, stars hang from trees, and a tunnel of light plays Christmas songs as you walk through.
Even Kenwood's lodge is decorated with hundreds of white lights - not to mention the giant colour-changing Christmas tree at the house's front entrance.
Christmas at Kenwood runs until January 1. For details and tickets:https://christmasatkenwood.com/
