A man has been left with a broken jaw after a robber demanded his phone in Dartford.

The man sitting outside a shop in Temple Hill Square at around 5.30pm on October 18 when he was approached by a stranger.

The stranger demanded that he hand over his phone before he began punching the man in the head.

When the victim fell to the floor, the stranger continued beating him on the ground.

The man was taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries, including a broken jaw.

Police are now releasing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “CCTV images have been released by officers investigating an assault in Dartford.

“The victim was sitting outside a shop in Temple Hill Square at around 5.30pm on Tuesday 18 October 2022 when he was approached by a man not known to him.

“The suspect is alleged to have demanded the victim’s phone before he punched him in his head several times.

“The man fell to the floor where the suspect continued to assault him.

“Following the incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for facial injuries, including a broken jaw.

“Since the assault was reported officers have made various enquiries and are now in a position to release CCTV images of a man they wish to talk to in connection with the incident.
