A former pageant star says she has hopes and dreams to “promote body positivity” by creating a clothing range with PrettyLittleThing.

Mum-of-one Elle Thomas has previously taken part in the Miss London competition, as well as carrying out many modelling gigs, but has now decided to focus on a different career path.

The 24-year-old is currently following her hopes and dreams of becoming an influencer, and posts content onto her TikTok an Instagram accounts daily.

Elle, who grew up in Greenwich, says her “biggest dream” is to create a clothing range with fashion organisations such as PrettyLittleThing, to helps promote body positivity, specifically with mums as the target audience.

Elle told the News Shopper: “I would love to help other mums feel comfortable in their own skin.

“It’s quite uncommon for mums to wear crop tops or similar types of clothing, due to insecurities such as stretch marks.

“But I would love to help build people’s confidence so they can wear these kinds of things, specifically young mums.”

Elle appeared on the E4 show Send Nudes: Body SOS, where she had to share her body hang-ups and discuss the options of cosmetic surgery.

Elle said: “I wanted to go on the show so I could get work, but I was genuinely so worried about my appearance.

“I am a young mum and have had some pretty bad stretch marks.

“I thought the marks would prevent me from getting work, so I went on the show to debate surgery.

“I’ve managed to control my stretch marks from just using bio oil.”

Elle said she was wearing size 16 clothes when she appeared on the show, but due to the constant exercise from looking after her five-year-old son, Louie, she has managed to drop her dress size to fit into size 8s.

She added: “My little boy keeps me active, but I also stopped drinking energy drinks, which has seemed to help.

“I also stopped eating waffles.”

Thick-skinned Elle says she has “never really cared” about other people’s opinions, but this did not stop her from receiving negative comments after she appeared on the E4 show.

Despite this, Elle continued to tell the News Shopper that she “loves what she does” and is reaping the “free bees” for herself and her son.

Elle said: “My latest videos on TikTok has reached more than 100,000 views.

“Louie, my son, is really photogenic and I’d love to get him into modelling in the future.

“He has the best imagination.

“I love the tiktoker Izzy Oakley – she pretty much started from nothing, and I would love to follow in her footsteps.

“I think I would love to do both influencing and modelling in the future, but my main goal is to promote body positivity for young women.”
