Police have issued an update on the condition of a stabbing victim in Bexleyheath.
It comes as a man in his 30s was found injured in Lion Road at 2.35am yesterday (November 19).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.
The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said today (November 20) that he is in a critical but stable condition.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
Police enquires into the circumstances are ongoing.
Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 and quote reference CAD819/19Nov.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said yesterday (November 19): “Police were called at approximately 02:35hrs on Saturday, 19 November to reports of a man suffering a stab injury in Lion Road, junction with Bexleyheath Broadway.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment.
“He remains there in a critical condition.
“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD819/19Nov.
“Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
