A woman was ecstatic to be among the first people to receive a letter from King Charles III as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Peggy Dunckley, who currently resides at Potters Grange in Potters Bar, had live music and tea during her birthday on November 14.
The former secretary from Hertfordshire kept herself busy throughout her life after working as a charter surveyor and land agent.
She also worked for novelist Fredrick Forsyth for 25 years, who needed a personal assistant after he purchased a Hertfordshire farm.
Four generations of her family and friends joined the celebration party as she opened up as she opened up the celebratory card from the King.
She pins her secret to her long life down to her genes and said: “What can I do, I was born with them!”
