A man has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder another man near Tower Hill.
Patrick Maher, 32, of no fixed address, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (November 16) in connection with an alleged stabbing on October 11.
A 54-year-old man, who police said had a cut to the throat, was taken to hospital after officers were called to Trinity Square following reports of a stabbing.

A Met Police spokesperson added the man's condition is now not life-threatening.
Maher has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on December 14.
