Officers investigating a sexual assault in Southwark have released an image of a man they would like to identify.

At 2am on Saturday, July 23, a woman, aged in her 20s, was sexually assaulted by a man at a bus stop on Lordship Lane.

The woman then boarded a number 12 bus.

During the journey, she was allegedly sexually assaulted again by the same man.

She reported the incident to police the next day.

Police are appealing for help in finding a man who was captured on CCTV boarding the bus.

He is described as being black, approximately 5ft 8in, and with afro hair.

He was wearing a dark hoodie with rainbow-coloured writing on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3536/09Nov.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers investigating a sexual assault in Southwark are releasing an image of a man they would like to identify.

"At around 02:00hrs on Saturday, 23 July a woman, aged in her 20s, was sexually assaulted by a man at a bus stop in Lordship Lane, SE22.

"The woman then boarded a number 12 bus. During the journey she was sexually assaulted again by the same man.

"She reported the incident to police the following day.

"Detectives have carried out a number of enquiries and are now appealing for the public's help to locate a man who was captured on CCTV boarding the bus.

"He is described as being black, approximately 5ft 8in, and with afro hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie with rainbow-coloured writing on the front.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3536/09Nov.
