Elon Musk recently acquired social media platform Twitter for approximately $44 billion on the 27th October. Almost immediately, he had laid off around half of their employees - citing his reasons as Twitter is going bankrupt.

Musk said he had "no choice" as Twitter was reportedlt bleeding $4 million each day. Following this, he recieved backlash from POTUS Joe Biden and advertising company General Mills.

Musk's plans for Twitter reportedly involved liberalising Twitter's policies towards 'free speech' after being notorious for crude tweets and unusual statements. Yet no action has been taken and moderation remains 'absolutely unchanged'.

We also see major players in the Twitter space threaten to leave the platform including MMA reporter Ariel Helwani and Stephen Fry amongst others.

Could this be the end of the era of Twitter? That's up to Musk to decide?
