A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with a stab wound.

Police were called just after 10pm yesterday to reports of a stabbing on Market Place in Bexleyheath.

Emergency services attended the scene and found a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound.

He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 7976/11Nov.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 22:03hrs on Friday, 11 November to reports of a stabbing in Market Place, Bexleyheath.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance. A 17-year-old male was found with a stab wound.

“He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment; his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7976/11Nov.
