Chiswick House and Gardens lies next to the Great West Road, and near the River Thames. It is surrounded by activity, not too far away is the Gtech community stadium, and local sports grounds like Kings house and Chiswick rugby club. 

 

Chiswick House and Gardens contains an array of activities to do, especially in the holidays. Camps, football in the winter, and cricket in the summer run, mostly for the younger age groups. Additionally, Chiswick cricket club play there and so can provide games for an eager participant, or can be enjoyable to watch as an onlooker, with all the benches stationed around the ground. On top of this, there is plenty of green space to play on, and even a maze to get lost in.

 

If you are not as interested in sports, just walking around and admiring the beautiful scenery might be for you. The grounds are adorned with many stunning flowers and trees, and many places to sit and enjoy the view, including a cafe and many benches, overlooking the river. The river, which runs through the gardens, is home to many different animals, including swans and if you're lucky, maybe even some fish.

 

During certain times of the year, the House hosts light shows, Halloween and Winter ones are especially popular, and these can give you access to good food, and a festive atmosphere, especially near Christmas. Furthermore, the Gardens hosts many tours of the famous House, and regular events to educate about the historic grounds.
