A wave of yellow clothing and accessories were seen at St Bede's as the secondary school celebrated YoungMinds' "#HelloYellow" charity event, which raises awareness about mental health. It allows schools, offices, and other organisations, to donate to the cause, and will therefore help YoungMinds to continue funding their support for the mental health of young people.
The 10th of October this year had marked World Mental Health Day, and was also the day that YoungMinds had organised their annual "#HelloYellow" event. For the past few years, St Bede's School have supported this event, by allowing students to wear one yellow accessory, as well as donating to support the charity's work.
This year, however, was different, as students were not only invited to wear yellow accessories, but they were also invited to wear any yellow items of clothing, this included t-shirts, jumpers, and even coats! Several members of staff had also joined in by wearing yellow with their outfits to support the cause.
On this special day, the school had once again united to show support for World Mental Health Day, and to also show those who are struggling with their mental health that they are not alone, and support is always there.
