This Saturday, the annual Cassiobury Park Fireworks happened to celebrate Guy Fawkes. Although there was mild rain and some gusts of wind, the event was still on! Everyone’s spirits were high and people kept flooding in to watch the fireworks and performances happening in between. There were spectacular events happening including: performances from the local radio station Vibe and live music from Pat and the Butchers. There were also many activities for the younger audience, including a bungee trampoline, arcade games and a few funfair rides. The best thing about this event was that it was open to the public and anyone can come to see it. Alongside, these fun games and activities, there was also many food stands where you could nibble on some cotton candy or if you felt like it was your cheat day, you could indulge yourself with a variety of burgers. However the stage was lit alight with breath taking performances and at around 7:30, the fireworks were unleashed! It was 20 minutes of jaw dropping excellence. This Saturday evening was a truly ecstatic one but one where everyone came together to celebrate such a joyous night in our countries calendar. Kaumil Shah, an observer, said,” After a few years without these celebration, it truly feels like a night like no other. I can’t wait for the next celebration next year.” Hopefully there is another celebration next year!
