A man has been arrested after a huge machete was seized by police in Woolwich Town Centre.
A man fled from officers who then chased and manage to catch the suspect.
He was detained, searched and a large machete was allegedly found on him.
Greenwich Police shared a picture of the large blade on Twitter, which is double-sided and a deep red colour.
The suspect was arrested and is currently in custody.
Greenwich MPS tweeted: “ARREST | A male ran from #WoolwichTownCentreTeam, who chased and detained the male.
“ On searching a large machete was located on his person.
“Currently being processed in custody.
“#DontCarryKnives #Arrested”
